Non-ablative laser rejuvenation · Bellevue
CLEARLIFT™
A depth-adjustable, non-ablative laser treatment designed to refresh tone, texture, fine lines, and mild laxity—with minimal interruption to the skin surface.

Pixel tips allow treatment to be planned at different depths.
The surface is not intentionally removed or resurfaced.

How the technology works
Photoacoustic energy.
Precision by depth.
ClearLift delivers intense nanosecond pulses that create a photoacoustic effect beneath the surface rather than ablating the epidermis.
Alma's Q-Switch pixel technology uses five focal depths. This gives the provider options for planning treatment according to the concern, anatomy, skin response, and target depth.
- 1064 nm Q-switched Nd:YAG technology
- Fractional pixel pattern with adjustable depth
- Non-ablative approach with limited surface disruption

Treatment goals
A quieter approach
to visible change.
ClearLift may suit patients seeking gradual skin renewal without an ablative resurfacing experience. The right approach depends on the type and depth of the concern—not every spot, line, or texture change should be treated the same way.
Fine lines
Support smoother-looking skin and soften the appearance of selected fine lines.
Tone & texture
Refresh uneven-looking tone and surface texture through a personalized series.
Mild laxity
Target selected areas of early looseness on the face, neck, or décolleté.
Selected pigment
Assess the pigment type first; some lesions require diagnosis or another laser approach.

Useful evidence.
Real limitations.
Published findings help explain the technology, but they do not predict an individual result. We use them as context for consultation—not as a promise.
Biopsies showed collagen formation, reorganization, and compaction at different depths after fractional high-power 1064 nm Q-switched treatment. This small study examined tissue changes rather than patient-rated cosmetic outcomes.
View on PubMedAfter four sessions, 72.2% met the study's prespecified photo-based GAIS responder definition at three months. The study was single-center, single-arm, limited to women with Fitzpatrick III–IV, and needs confirmation in larger controlled trials.

- 01
Assess
We review your skin, pigment pattern, medical history, medications, recent procedures, sun exposure, and goals.
- 02
Plan
The treatment area, focal depth, pulse settings, and number of passes are selected for your skin and concern.
- 03
Treat
Protective eyewear is required. The applicator is moved systematically across the planned area while your comfort and skin response are monitored.
- 04
Protect
Follow individualized aftercare, use gentle products, avoid unnecessary irritation, and protect treated skin from ultraviolet exposure.
Safety and candidacy
Low downtime does not mean no risk.
ClearLift may not be appropriate with active infection, open wounds, certain photosensitizing medications, recent tanning, pregnancy, uncontrolled medical conditions, or some pigment disorders. Tell your provider about cold sores, keloid tendency, implanted devices, all medications and supplements, and recent laser, peel, injection, or surgery. Temporary redness, swelling, sensitivity, petechiae, crusting, pigment change, burns, scarring, or other complications are possible.
This page is educational and does not replace medical advice. Candidacy, treatment settings, comfort, recovery, and results vary. A qualified medical professional must assess you before treatment.
Common questions
Clear answers,
before treatment.
What is ClearLift?+
ClearLift is Alma's non-ablative fractional Q-switched Nd:YAG treatment. It delivers short 1064 nm laser pulses below the skin surface using a pixelated pattern and adjustable focal depths.
What concerns can ClearLift address?+
Depending on candidacy and the selected settings, ClearLift may be considered for fine lines, texture, tone, mild laxity, photodamage, and selected pigmented lesions. A consultation is necessary because different concerns may require different devices or protocols.
What does a treatment feel like?+
Many patients describe warmth or light snapping. Alma markets ClearLift as a comfort-focused treatment that often does not require topical anesthetic, but sensation varies and settings must be individualized.
Is there downtime?+
ClearLift is designed as a non-ablative, low-downtime treatment. Temporary redness, swelling, sensitivity, pinpoint marks, or pigment changes can still occur. Recovery depends on skin, treatment area, and settings.
How many sessions will I need?+
There is no universal number. Published ClearLift studies have evaluated series of three or four treatments, while real-world plans vary. Your provider should reassess your response rather than promise a fixed result.
Is ClearLift appropriate for every skin tone?+
The 1064 nm wavelength and adjustable settings can make ClearLift useful across a range of skin tones, but no laser is risk-free. Careful assessment and parameter selection are especially important when there is a higher risk of post-inflammatory pigment change.
